Founding Member Denny Gibson Retires; Company Greets 5 Year Anniversary with Strategic New Hires

Denny Gibson’s retirement will bring to a close a remarkable 52-year career in consumer packaged goods’ sales, marketing, and the military channel. His successful sales career began in 1964 with Tetley Tea followed by twenty years with packaged goods leader General Foods handling an impressive array of products including Maxwell House Coffee, Cool Whip, Post Cereals, Birdseye, Kool-Aid, and many, many more. Energetic and an entrepreneur at heart, Mr. Gibson ventured out on his own in 1989 to form Market Tactics, Inc., a high-growth company focusing on in-store print publications which quickly grew share in the military market. In 2011, Market Tactics launched creating what today has become the #1 digital, mobile, social, and point-of-sale media distribution network for military families and global consumer brands.

The company recently celebrated Mr. Gibson’s retirement with an all company meeting and celebration in Boston attended by family, friends, and company staff.

In parallel, the Company also announced several strategic new staff hires in their ongoing commitment to building a world-class account service and strategic consulting organization to benefit their brands. Notable new additions to the team include:

Christine Huie-Roy, EVP Sales & Marketing – Well-known throughout the consumer packaged goods industry, Christine brings 30 years of experience at Kraft Foods where she held several key senior management roles in Military Resale, Customer Marketing, and retail sales management for the CPG giant. For, Christine will be consulting directly with brand sponsors on developing strategic shopper marketing programs supporting Military Resale and Exchange brands.

Colleen Medeiros, Senior Production Manager – With over 15 years of production and account management experience, Colleen brings strong agency experience and over 5 years with Thomson Reuters managing the execution of worldwide and regional marketing campaign deliverables. Colleen will be working directly with the company’s internal sales, marketing, creative, and brand management teams to ensure timely creation and delivery of client programming.

Marlo L. Cagle, Account Director – A dedicated, seasoned account management professional, Marlo brings more than 15 years of experience in shopper marketing programming for CPG clients and retailers including Military Commissaries, Albertsons/Safeway, Kroger, Target, McDonald’s, and Walmart to name a few. Marlo will lead our account services staff to strengthen client relations and develop new partnerships to benefit our brands
